Too Big To Fail (2011)

Very carefully written time by time, blow by blow--almost word for word what happened during the financial crisis that started in late September 2008 (again, just 1 month after my first financial Fright Night--which was done because things had been super scary in the markets since the first of the year.) It just amazes me the these guys just couldn't seem to see the scrawling on the wall--it was there in big bloody red letters!!  Honestly, these guys have names that you can't turn into jokes!  Jamie Dimon (who people used to joke--sort of--in a hubristic kind of way, was a Diamond), well JP Morgan Chase was one of those too big to fail kind of banks--with dark, dark holes on it's balance sheets in the form of CDO's (Collateralized Debt Obligations), back up with serious over-leverage, of more than 50 % and all wrapped up with global CDS's (Credit Default Swaps).  Then there is Dick Fuld, CEO of the failed Lehmen Bros.--the one firm that was allowed to fail.  He reported says his last name is pronounced "fold"--when it's closer to "fooled."  And finally, really (!!) the man who perpetrated by far the worst and largest financial frauds in human history....his last name is Madoff!!!???  Really this must be some form of giant cosmic joke!

This is funny.  Here we have two dudes promoting this film at the Chinatown station in Manhattan.  Handing out fliers for the film's theatrical premiere.
