The Perfect Storm

Based on a seriously true story, at least weather wise. just about anyone could have predicted that this would be on the menu today.  The perfect storm event of 1991 was caused by a massive Nor'easter, and a Halloween one at that (there was another one last year, but it was no nowhere near this big, and can be read about here).  These things look for all the world like Hurricanes in shape, but being non-tropical, the bring snow instead of rain.  This storm battered the northeast the year before Hurricane Andrew hit Miami-Dade county in 1992, and this one actually involved late season hurricane, converging into as scary a thing as can be seen on the ocean.  The ending is, of course, pure speculation--but as far speculation goes, it's pretty spectacular.  The particulars of the actual storm can  be read about here.
