Introducing Dr. Ray

Unlike most CSI fans, I was not at all sceptical or bummed out by the appearance of Dr. Ray as the newest character; but then again, I have always  been a fan of Lawrence Fishburne, and was intrigued by the television phenomenon of being able to lure big screen actors onto little screen series as a major character.  Of course, any fan of the show knows that Fishburne is no longer on the show, replaced by Ted Danson, but since this is all about Dr. Ray, I'm enjoying starting from the beginning.  Raymond Langston was first introduced in the two part introduction of serial killer Nate Haskel, which also followed the exit of Grissom.  So,  for two episodes, Langston and Grissom worked side by side to find the perp who is carrying on Haskell's "work,"--The "Dick and Jane killer."  Dr. Ray gets a taste for the job and promptly joins the team, with Catherine Willows (Marg Helgenberger) promoted to lab manager...still grave yard shift of course!
