Rome Cast Links

"Rome" is an HBO broadcast mini series that was a joint British-Italian production.  Despite that it is described as a mini-series, it did in fact run for two seasons.  There was serious talk of a third season, but it never materialized.  Season 2 begins just after the assassination of Gaius Julius Caesar, and proceeds through to the reading of his will, in which he declared his great nephew Ocativian his adoptive son and rightful heir.

We see in Season 1 that Octavian is no foolish kid, it's borne out several times, whether it is his young judgement that sets soldiers to right in Gaul or when he is assisting Titus Pullo in a personal matter on behalf of Lucius Vorenus, he consistently shows a keen acumen.  This is something that Mark Antony, in his brutish ways, seriously fails to understand; even his own mother, one Antony's many lovers, in her silly selfish ways, does not take him seriously.  Big Mistake!
