Modern Pagan: The Legacy

While this is regarded by modern pagan religious practiioner's as not a real Pagan film, because it is more about the Christian ideal of witches, not the nature revering spirituality of the 20th century.  For me, it's just fun.  And, though nowhere near as brilliant a film, it is a lot like The Wicker Man (1973), in that it is supposed to show Celtic belief as alive and well, more or less unbroken since antiquity....and that involves human sacrifice.  Of course, it also does buy into the Catholic notion of familiars, etc., and the modern European notion that with wicked devotion, comes riches and fame.  It's not a documentary and it's not even asking to be taken seriously....so I don't.  Hell, I'm just a Sam Elliott fan!
