First Up: The Last Vampyre

Sherlock Holmes and Native American???  Well, yes.  Although the story is set in England, the "vampire" is an English man from a long established English noble family, and, of course, Sherlock Holmes is one of England's most iconic fictional figures, yet, the story has a strong native storyline.  Although this Jeremy Brett Sherlock movie does not actually contain any actors of Native American decent, the two ladies (Juliette Aubrey and Yolanda Vasquez) that do play the parts of Peruvian women do a very good job of occupying Conan Doyle's hyperbalistic description of he thought people of Incan (Inkan) decent, particularly women, would act like in Victorian England.  Of course, it is the fanciful fantasies of a overly occultic minded Scottish mind...but the mesmerising descriptions of the Incan sun worship are pretty close to the truth.

Below is a You Tube clip of a serious fan of this movie!  Who is also a serious fan death metal.  Not your "normal" tribute to the late great Jeremy Brett as Sherlock, but I like it!  If the music bugs you, watch it with the sound down; the images alone are worth a watch.

  1. Jeremy Brett was a very masterly Holmes. Pity that he suffered from his physical tribulations that caused his untimely demise.

May his soul rest in peace!
