Skinwalkers 2006

"Psych" star James Roday and pals have a screen writing team that specializes in horror scripts.  In 2006 they successfully sold their werewolf tale and it was filmed, and set, exclusively in Canada.  It's cast, too, features a fair number of Canadian actors, including Elias Koteas, Sarah Carter, Shawn Roberts and Metis/Mohawk actor Tom Jackson.  Yet again there is a sub-text of Native American themes, which is hardly surprising given Canada's strong support of Natives in the arts and Roday's own Tejano background.  It's not the highest budget werewolf flick out there, but it is genuinely entertaining.  There is a kind of Sarah Connor thing going on with the mother/son relationship, portrayed by British actress Rhona Mitra and young US actor Matthew Knight.
