True Blood Trivia 3

This first season is based mostly on the first book of Charlaine Harris' "Dead Until Dark."

The show is called "Sangre Fresca" (Fresh Blood) in Spain, vampire Bill offers Dep. Det. Andy Belleflower a Fresca when he and the Sheriff visit Bill's house to question him about the mysterious murders taking place in Bon Temps.

And speaking of the town Bon Temps, it translates into English as "good times."  It is taken from the Cajun French sayin' "Laissez les bon temps rouler!"--Let the good times roll.

Each episode is named for a song, either from popular music or gospel.

Well off vampires who can afford the finer things, buy gold flatware, instead of silver, because vampire cannot touch silver.

On one the ornate marble vault coffins at Malcolm's nest, the green one, has the German phrase "Gott ist tot"--God is dead.

Alexander SkarsgÄrd originally auditioned for the role of Bill.
